- Comments: information entered in the comment form, together with the visitor’s IP address and browser user-agent string, for moderation, security and spam detection. An anonymised email hash may be sent to Gravatar to check whether you use that service.
- Analytics: if you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics may collect information about pages viewed, interactions, device and browser type, approximate location and online identifiers. If you decline, analytics storage remains denied; Google may still receive limited, cookieless measurement signals.
- Technical data: the web host may record IP addresses, request details and security events in server logs to operate and protect the site.

Why we use it

Services and sharing

Buy Me a Coffee, Spotify embeds, Amazon links and our social-media pages operate under their own privacy notices when you load or use them. We do not sell personal information.

How long we keep information
Comments and their metadata may be retained while the discussion remains relevant and to recognise approved follow-up comments. Technical logs are kept according to hosting and security needs. Analytics data follows the retention settings in Google Analytics. Enquiry records are kept only as long as needed to respond, maintain appropriate records or meet legal obligations.
